Vascular disease

Screening and follow-up of peripheral arterial disease in the legs, carotid disease and aortic disease, with referral to a vascular physician or vascular surgeon when needed.

Vascular Doppler ultrasound

Doppler uses ultrasound to examine blood vessels and blood flow, including the arteries supplying the head and neck, without radiation.

When to seek advice

Calf pain when walking, reduced pulses, a vascular bruit, cardiovascular risk factors or an abnormal imaging finding may warrant assessment. For sudden or neurological symptoms, chest pain or respiratory distress, call 15 in France.

Coordinating vascular care

Depending on the results, follow-up can be arranged at the practice with one of our cardiologists. If an intervention is needed, we will refer you to an interventional radiologist or vascular surgeon.
